These Terms of Service govern your use of Compass Campaign, a product of Trenton Hoyt LLC ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Ownership Agreement.
You must provide accurate account information, including your Texas voter ID or a statement that you are not registered to vote. Users under 18 may only use the service as volunteers with a participating campaign and with a parent or guardian's permission.
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account.
Campaign admins control who joins their campaign and what role each member has. Admins are responsible for the conduct of the members they approve.
We may suspend or remove access for any user or campaign that violates these terms.
You agree to use the service only for lawful political, civic and voter outreach. You will follow all election, privacy, telemarketing, texting and anti-spam laws that apply to you.
You will not harass or intimidate voters, misuse voter information, attempt to access another campaign's private data, or interfere with the service.
Voter data in Compass Campaign may only be used inside the Compass Campaign platform for your campaign's outreach. You may not sell, rent, publish, export for resale, or share voter data with anyone outside the platform.
You may not give access to voter data, or to your account, to any other campaign, candidate, party or organization. Each campaign must obtain its own access through Compass Campaign.
Texas law restricts the use of voter registration information to purposes related to elections, politics and government. You are responsible for complying with those restrictions.
Compass Campaign does not guarantee that it holds all of the data for your race, district or area. Voter, organization, district, precinct and contact data may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate.
It is ultimately your campaign's responsibility to acquire and import the data you need for your outreach and to verify it before relying on it. Any data we provide is offered as a convenience only, "as is" and "as available," with no guarantee or warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose.
Ownership of the information you add is described in the Data Ownership Agreement. You confirm you have the right to upload any data you import.
We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. Features may change over time.
The service, including all data, features and content, is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. Trenton Hoyt LLC makes no promise about any outcome, including election results, contact rates or data coverage for your race.
Because Trenton Hoyt LLC offers no warranty and no guarantee, it accepts no liability of any kind, in any situation, arising from or related to your use of the service, to the fullest extent allowed by law. This includes, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, lost votes, lost donations, election outcomes, legal compliance decisions, or any decisions or actions made based on data in the service, whether or not we were advised of the possibility.
You use the service entirely at your own risk. If any part of this section is found unenforceable, our total liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows, and in no case more than the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
All payments to Trenton Hoyt LLC are final. We provide no refunds, exchanges, credits or discounts of any kind, in any situation, except at Trenton Hoyt LLC's sole discretion. Nothing in your use of the service earns or creates an entitlement to a refund, exchange, credit or discount.
Because the service carries no warranty, no refunds are owed for downtime, errors, missing data, unmet expectations or any other issue.
We may update these terms. When we do, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
